The Aftershock of World Wwar I
People felt alienated around the world after World War I. The wives had lost their husbands, the kids had lost their dads. The men had changed because of the images that they had viewed, the women didn't know how to relate and comfort the husbands. The "Feather Pillow" is a short strory by Horacio Quiroga, "Soldiers Home" is also a short story and it is by Ernest Hemingway, "Richard Cory" was a poem by Edwin Arlington Robinson they are modernest writers that use characters to reflect alienation. http://federalistpublicola.com/2010/03/04/alienation-in-post-world-war-america/

Spell out World War One, the first time you use it, then refer to it as WW I.
